Hi, I’m Kiersten!

I’ve done a couple of very small “pottery drops,” each one including one of a kind mugs. The mugs for this market are inspired by the absolute joy working with clay has brought me over the last couple of years.

I’ve incorporated bright colors, fun shapes, and happy little flowers. I hope that sharing these pieces inspires you to slow down on the constant doing and to make more space for being in your own life.

Sitting at a wheel always reminds me of how important it is to spend time doing the things that light us up, whether they produce a lot externally, or not. Humans aren’t made to be machines, constantly producing and contributing. As cliche and cheesy as it can sound, we desperately need the things that help us remember that we’re human beings, not human doings. In my personal life, I have not found a better reminder of this than the very slow process of wedging, throwing, shaping, trimming, drying, firing, and glazing every single pot with my own two hands.
